comes together to celebrate another year of excellence.
Our Training program is in full
swing with 5 current students.
Michelle, Alyson, Nikhil, Keely, and
Chelsea are all studying under
David Williams to develop their
knowledge of Neuro anatomy
and IONM. Additionally, several
of your Houston area colleagues are
working in conjunction to help these students
develop and apply their newly learned skill in the operating
room. While we have had plenty of previous success training
and educating IONM professionals exclusively from the OR,
we are excited for the possibility and the opportunity to
provide didactic training for our newest round of training

Clinical Educator, David Williams:
During this quarter of 2016, Sentry would
like to Spotlight our Clinical Educator, David
Williams. David has worked tirelessly over
the past few months developing a plan for
the future of education at SentryNeuro.
David approached management a few months ago with some
excitingandwellorganizedideasonhowtoimproveourcurrent
training program. After being given the go ahead, David got to
work organizing material and developing a 12 week syllabus
for IONM education. Currently we are working with ABRET
to acquire CAAHEP certification for teaching this syllabus.
David has been asked to be the main preceptor for these
classes, as well as an acting certified trainer in the operating
room. Additionally, David has developed ASET approved CEU
courses for our team members. David continues to be a go to
for most types of difficult and involved Neuro Surgeries and is
continuing to work with several members of the Houston team
to help develop their Cranial Nerve monitoring skill. David has
also been complemented on by several team mates who have
used him as a helpful resource in passing their board exams.
David’s dream is to see an exceptional education department
develop and grow within SentryNeuro. We look forward to the
bright future of education David has in store for us, and feel
lucky and thankful to have him on team Sentry.
