By 2020, virtual reality in healthcare is expected to grow 73% and reach between $2.5 to $3.8 billion. Virtual reality can be used for exposure therapy to treat phobias, relaxation for chronic patients, and health education. It is also being used in surgeries where robotic devices perform operations under the control of remote surgeons, and for rehabilitation by allowing patients to practice recovering motor functions.
