Darrell Irions, recognized as one of the nation’s leading housing experts, earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska. After graduation, he accepted an officer’s commission in the United States Marine Corps (USMC), where he served in active duty and continues today to serve in the USMC Reserves. Upon leaving the Corps, Darrell Irions entered the field of public housing and held executive positions in the housing authorities of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Denver, Colorado.
