Cyndy Simms brings more than 20 years of public school district leadership to her current position as Superintendent of the San Mateo-Foster City School District in California. A member of the Rotary Club of Foster City, Cyndy Simms lives in San Mateo. She previously filled the Superintendent role at the Mercer Island School District in Washington State, and the Walnut Valley Unified School District in California. Cyndy Simms graduated from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, in 1975 with a degree in special education. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Public Administration in 1981, and a Ph.D. in School Administration in 1985, both from the University of Denver, CO.
