This document provides guidance for documenting changes made to sourced or original assets prior to use in production. It instructs users to compare each asset before and after editing using screenshots, and to consider what the asset looked like originally when sourced or captured, what changes were made using which tools and why, and what the asset looks like now and how it is fit for purpose. A table is provided as an example for documenting the original and modified asset, dates, software used, and comments.

1. Evidence 5: Changes to Sourced and Original Assets
You need to identify how and why your assets have changed from your initial source or original state
of capture/creation to where they are ready to be used in your production.
Compare each asset before and after you digital manipulation/editing using screenshots as evidence.
Consider:
What did they look like when I sourced/captured them?
What did I do to them – what tools did I use, what changes did I make, and why?
What do they look like now and how are they fit for purpose?
