Universitatea ,,Alexandru Ioan Cuza”, împreună cu cele patru universități de stat din Iași (Universitatea Tehnică “Gheorghe Asachi”, Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie ʺGrigore T. Popaʺ, Universitatea de Ştiinţe Agricole şi Medicină Veterinară "Ion Ionescu de la Brad" și Universitatea de Arte „George Enescu”), au organizat, miercuri, 8 octombrie 2014, la ora 17.00, în Aula Magna ,,Mihai Eminescu”, întâlnirea cu studenţii Erasmus și Erasmus Mundus – „Erasmus Welcome Day”. Scopul acestei întâlniri, organizată la UAIC la începutul fiecărui an universitar, este de a facilita integrarea în spaţiul academic şi cultural ieşean a studenţilor Erasmus și Erasmus Mundus de la universităţile partenere din spațiul UE si non-UE, care vin să studieze la Universitatea ,,Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iaşi pe durata unui semestru sau a unui an universitar. În cadrul acestui eveniment, reprezentanții celor 5 universități ieșene au adresat un cuvant de bun-venit oaspeţilor, după care asociaţia studenţească Erasmus (ESN Iași) a prezentat activităţile la care vor fi invitați studenții pe tot parcursul anului, iar foști studenți Erasmus și Erasmus Mundus au împartășit câte ceva din experiența lor Erasmus la Iași. La final, oaspeții au degustat bucate tradiţionale româneşti, iar evenimentul s-a încheiat cu o horă moldovenească, alături de colegii români.
