Short Film Pitch Speakers Notes
Slide 1 –
My short film is the story of a man struggling to survive in the post-apocalyptic world, known as the
Mojave wasteland. This is based on the popular game series ‘Fallout’.
The film follows a Man in his struggle for survival in the Mojave wasteland. Showing his daily routine
and what he has to do to live this life. The film throughout is more suspense based apart from the
fast paced gunfight that takes place towards the climax of the film. I decided to leave the end of the
film as a cliff hanger so that it is open to interpretation by whoever may be watching.
Slide 2 –
Throughout the film, the Main character Sam must travel in search of Food, Water and Shelter to
survive the desolate wastelands.
Slide 3 –
There are many things troubling Sam, but the main thing that is plaguing his mind is the thoughts of
his long term girlfriend before the Great War. He has regular flashbacks and daydreams of what his
life used to be like and how happy he was.
Slide 4 –
Sam makes his way through the wasteland and comes across what seems to be a giant oasis in the
middle of the hills. This is a huge find as it is a vital source of water.
Slide 5 –
His happiness doesn’t last long as there is trouble lurking only round the corner as Sam begins to
look for shelter for the night. This erupts into a gunfight across the wasteland between Sam and
some very unfriendly survivors.
Slide 6 –
After the gunfight, Sam finds peace and a place to spend the night. How long will this peace last?
And will Sam be able to get the thoughts of the past out of his mind before it pushes him over the
edge?
