1. Sports Festival.
The creative and media team are organizing a sports festival which will be held on the
Monday 19th July 2010. We have also got two reserve dates it the weather it not good.
These reserve dates are Wednesday 21st July and Thursday 22nd July.
All students from year 7 to 10 and all teachers will be off school timetable for the
whole day. Students will come in school in their P.E kits. But the same rule will
follow. If you don’t have the correct clothes you will be sent home.
The day will be planned like this. Registration will be the same. Year 7 and 8’s will
go to assembly while years 9 and 10 will start a tutor group activity. Then period one:
year 7 and 8 will go back to their tutor room and start the tutor activity while years 9
and 10 go to assembly. When assembly is done they will carry on the tutor task. The
tutor task is to: Creating posters, flags and pom poms to motivate team spirit.
Then period two: you will go to the starting place for your sports activity. Break will
be at normal time. Then period three you will go to your next activity. Same for
period four. Lunch is also as normal time. Then finally you will go to your last
activity.
Out aims for the sports festivals are:
Wider
 To encourage an interest the 2012 Olympics and create an atmosphere of
excitement.
Whole School
 To develop an ethos of ‘togetherness’ amongst the CCC community.
Creative Media
 To plan, promote and run a Sports Festival meeting the requirements of Unit
6: Festival.
 To record the events of the day and be able to reflect on and evaluate success
of this event.
P.E
 To promote fitness in students through increased participation in sports
activities.
 To enthuse and interest students in a range of sporting activities.
