The great Sphinx is a limestone sculpture located in Egypt near the Khephren Pyramid. It is 240 feet long and has the body of a lion and head of a human, representing a mythological creature that was part of their gods. The Colossi of Memnon are two stone sculptures of Pharaoh Amenhotep III located in the Theban necropolis across from Luxor, Egypt. Each sculpture stands 60 feet high and was carved from stone. Both sculptures are among the oldest and largest in the world.
