1. The Math Competition
Math was one of my best subjects,
So I was put on the math team.
The math competition was next,
Winning would not just be a dream.
It was a Saturday morning,
Many were at Plantation High.
My team and I gave a warning;
The losers were going to cry.
We were working like busy bees,
Fighting like cats and dogs each time.
Soon our hopes were deep in the seas;
The time was slipping from the climb.
Fear was a beast feeding on us,
That was a point of no return.
My team had something in me, trust;
But it was time for us to learn.
Once a breeze blew air announcing,
"Your team will not get the last laugh."
All I knew was, we weren't trouncing;
All was done even the last graph.
The work time finally elasped,
Now everyone would get their scores.
What was shown made my team collaspe;
We were surrendering from war.
My brain disappointed me so,
We sent out to win but we lost.
There is a good lesson to know;
There's a taste of truth at all cost.
