4. COMPARATIVE ASSESSMENT
TRADITIONAL
BUSINESS
MICRO SOCIAL BUSINESS
Don’t usually focus on
social causes.
Each MSB will address
one social cause/problem
in the community.
Don’t provide micro
credit to launch
another business.
After being profitable
each MSB will support at
least one underprivileged
youth to launch another
MSB.
No traditional business
is aligned with UN’s
Millennium
Development Goal
(MDGs)
MSB will primarily focus
on the issues which are
related to MSB.
Provides employment
opportunity to
educated and
privileged youth.
Semi educated and
underprivileged youth can
be self employed by MSB.
COMPARISION WHAT GLOBAL YOUTH LEADERS
THINK ABOUT MSB?
"MSB sounds really promising and model is easy
to adopt, reachable, Impact based and important
part is - this kind of model is real need for youth
especially students.“
- Jatin Kataria ( India)
"In Venezuela I have seen micro credits, but not
in the social business area, as you say, MSB
sounds to me as an unexplored mixture."
- Carlo López Scutaro (Venezuela)
“This initiative is brilliant and quite relevant in
poor countries, as one of the greatest challenges
of SME growth and development, especially at
the grassroots is lack of finance.”
