A. Jorge García has taught mathematics for 30 years at Baldwin Senior High School and 20 years at Nassau Community College. He has adapted his teaching methods in recent years by flipping his classroom, using interactive whiteboards, and sharing resources online. In this presentation, he will discuss how he uses SAGE, a computer algebra system, instead of graphing calculators in his precalculus classes to take advantage of new computing technologies and will demonstrate how SAGE can be used to teach the high school math curriculum.
