Please describe the employer's past and current experience in hiring people who have a disability
in their business. Include the number of people hired, length of time this employer has been
hiring people who have a disability, types of jobs hired for, etc. :
* Note – this award recognizes only those who hire into jobs that are paid at wages that are
commensurate for the position(s). Notations related to providing work experience placements,
co-op placements, etc. will only be considered once a track record for paid employment has been
established
CRITERIA # 2. – Promotes hiring people who have a disability to others:
Please describe ways in which this employer has taken deliberate steps to help promote the
hiring of people who have a disability to his/her peers and other businesses

3. CRITERIA # 3. – Will commit to working with the League to further develop
plans and strategies that promote the inclusion of people who have a disability
in the workplace:
Is the candidate willing to work with the Champion’s League, in partnership with the Ontario
Disability Employment Network to develop strategies and plans that will help move this agenda
forward? Is he/she willing and able to play a hands-on role in implementing these plans?
