3. In practical terms, a vision balances what is desired against the
present. The present has two facets here. One - what the current
reality. Two - what is the current aspiration. The latter involves the
heart and can never be ignored in a Vision

7. A vision begins with what is the ideal or desired state. Then along
the way, it recognizes the current gaps in expectations. It is not the
other way round.

10. Urgent requirements will always come up, in day to day running of
a team. A vision allows you to call out the important. So that it can
be balanced with the urgent while making decisions and while
prioritizing time and resources.

need to cooperate without surrendering their own autonomy.

clarity. It allows disagreements and tradeoffs in a principle centered
manner. This saves time and effort, all around.

Visioning is about finding the map, to this summit.
