In the eighties an eighty years old person was/looked older than a sixty years old person nowadays and the further we go back in time, the more this difference is marked. Form the nutrition point of view the reason for this change can be allocated to aspects of external origin just like the improvement of the variety and quantity of available food and to internal aspects like the adoption of eating behaviours that reinforce the persons helping them to maintain their physical and cognitive health. The ‘coaching’ as a training approach within nutritional contexts, aims at creating awareness on how our the relationship with food affects the persons’ wellbeing, stimulating the change and the adoption of healthy habits that can be sustainable in time.
