Hp printer troubleshooting steps are mentioned in this presentation as well as HP Laptop troubleshooting steps. Contact HP printer & laptop technical support phone number for any technical assistance.
3. If you are having problems with your
printing, we have the solution. Here's how to
solve some of the most common difficulties.
Printers can run reliably for many years and
thousands of prints, but often they do not. Why is
this? Sometimes it is as simple as over or under
use. Many home users simply don’t use
their inkjet printers often enough and this can
lead to problems with dried up ink blocking the
nozzles. A two-week holiday can ruin a set of ink
cartridges.
4. PRINTER
TROUBLESHOOTING
Over use is less common, but it can happen in
busy offices with shared printers. Paper clips,
rubbers, hair bands and other objects fall into
printers and cause paper jams surprisingly often.
Here are some useful problems and solutions to
keep your printer running smoothly.
5. PRINTER
TROUBLESHOOTING
Solve common printing problems:
The printer won’t print
There are numerous possibilities, so start with the
basics, such as checking to see whether there is
an error message/warning light on the printer,
making sure there is paper in the tray, the ink
cartridges aren’t empty, the USB cable is plugged
in or the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
If it is a wireless printer, try using a USB cable
instead.
6. PRINTER
TROUBLESHOOTING
Sometimes old printer drivers are still installed
and set as the default printer. Open the Control
Panel, Devices and Printers, right click the printer
to use and set it as the default. Make sure that
the correct printer is selected in the program you
are printing from.
7. PRINTER
TROUBLESHOOTING
Microsoft has a printing troubleshooter that can
help to identify problems. Click the Fix it button,
download and run the program, then follow the
steps in the wizard. You can also open the
Control Panel, Devices and Printers, right click
the printer icon and select Troubleshoot. It
doesn’t always help, but it’s worth trying. HP has
a Print and Scan Doctor to identify problems,
and Canon has lots of great videos on its website
– click your printer model and then click the
Troubleshooting videos link.
9. LAPTOP
TROUBLESHOOTING
We live and work in a cold, cruel world where our
laptops take a lot of abuse. Regardless of how
gentle we try to be, it's inevitable that sooner or
later our notebooks will get dropped, spilled on
and worse.
10. LAPTOP
TROUBLESHOOTING
While many people think that notebook damage
can be repaired only by the manufacturer or a
computer shop, there are some problems that
can be inexpensively and easily fixed with
common tools, spare parts and a little effort.
Many of these repairs are no harder than high
school art projects.
11. LAPTOP
TROUBLESHOOTING
Using a couple of old, beat-up notebooks, I'll
show you how to fix everything from a broken
case and frayed charger cord to a bad fan and
scratched screen. Each restoration project has
time and cost estimates as well as what materials
you'll need to do the trick. Just follow the
directions I've outlined for each repair -- but be
warned, your system might be a little different or
require special parts and a slightly different
approach.

TROUBLESHOOTING
One additional note: While I generally applaud
improvisation and recycling old parts for repairs,
there's nothing like having the right part to do the
repair. In fact, while fans and notebook keyboards
may all look alike, they are very different, and
chances are the wrong one won't fit right and
work properly. Each repair has links to where you
can get the right parts, but they are just a sample
of what's available. If all else fails, try eBay to get
what you need.
