SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Operator protection
Engineering control of operator exposure must be used where
reasonably practicable in
addition to the following personal protective equipment:
WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING (COVERALLS) AND SUITABLE
PROTECTIVE GLOVES when handling contaminated surfaces.
WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING (COVERALLS) AND SUITABLE
PROTECTIVE GLOVES when handling concentrate and applying by
hand held equipment.
However, engineering controls may replace personal protective
equipment if a COSHH
assessment shows they provide an equal or higher standard of
protection.
WASH CONCENTRATE from skin or eyes immediately. WASH HANDS
AND EXPOSED SKIN before eating, drinking or smoking and after
work. The treated areas should not be re-entered before spray
deposits on leaf surfaces have completely dried
Environmental protection
Do not contaminate water with the product or its container.
Do not clean application equipment near surface water. Avoid
contamination via drains from farmyards and roads.
To protect aquatic organisms do not allow direct spray from hand
held sprayers to fall within 1m of the top of the bank of a static or
flowing water body. Aim spray away from water.
KEEP LIVESTOCK OUT of treated areas for at least 15 DAYS following
treatment.
Storage and disposal
DO NOT RE-USE CONTAINER for any purpose. PROTECT FROM FROST.
KEEP IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER, tightly closed, in a safe place. WASH

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product
Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in
order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.
a) RESTRICTIONS ORWARNING
KASKARA may be applied to grassland that has been established for
a minimum of twelve months.
Do not cut treated grassland for at least 15 days after treatment. Do
not roll or harrow treated grassland within 15 days of spraying or
during the 7 days before spraying.
Do not treat grass crops intended for seed production.
Do not use applications of KASKARA where clover or other legumes
are an important part of the sward.
Do not sow any crop into a sward treated with KASKARA for at least 3
months after application.
The growth of certain grass species such as bents and Yorkshire Fog
may be temporarily suppressed by the application KASKARA.
EXTREME CARE must be taken to avoid spray drift onto non-crop
plants outside of the target area. DO NOT ALLOW SPRAY TO DRIFT
into greenhouses, or onto other agricultural or horticultural crops
(grapevines,potatoes,sugarbeet,fruitcrops,lettuce,tomatoes,peas,
orchards, vegetables, ornamentals, oilseed rape, tobacco), amenity
plantings or gardens. Not to be used in glasshouses.
KASKARA contains an ester formulation and vapour may be liable
to drift under hot conditions. Assess the risk to plants in the vicinity
before spraying.
Do not allow spray applications to come into any contact with
desired broad-leaved trees. Although when completely dormant
most species of conifers are not susceptible to KASKARA, contact
with spray should be avoided.
Do not sow any crop into an area treated with KASKARA for at least 4
weeks after application.
Keep livestock out of treated areas for at least 15 days. If poisonous
weeds such as Ragwort are present do not cut or graze until all of the
foliage of these weeds has died and become unpalatable.
b)WEEDS CONTROLLED AND CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION
KASKARA is a weedkiller that can be used as a spot treatment in
permanent grassland and rotational grass. KASKARA contains 3
active substances: 2,4-D (family of the aryloxyacids), dicamba (family
of benzoic acids) and triclopyr (family of the picolinic acids), all active
substances acting as a foliar and systemic herbicide.
WEEDS CONTROLLED
Grassland
KASKARA should only be applied as a spot treatment.
Apply KASKARA to actively growing weeds that have well-developed
foliage, but before the flower buds have opened. For best results
treat Nettles when they are within the range 30-45 cm high. Other
broad-leaved weeds are best treated when they have a well-
developed ‘rosette’ of leaves. Repeat applications in the following
seasons may be required for long-term control.
Susceptible (S) Consistently high levels of control
obtained under good growing
conditions
Moderately Susceptible (MS) Top growth usually killed and a
useful measure of long-term
control obtained under good
growing conditions
Moderately resistant (MR) A variable effect on top growth
according to growing conditions.
Little long term control likely.

c) MIXING AND SPRAYING
KASKARA should be used under good growing conditions, from
spring until end of summer, when foliage is well developed but
before flowering. Do not treat when senescence is evident.
