Dear Arlene:

It has been several months since your Jump Start consultancy here at Queens Botanical Garden
ended and we bid a reluctant farewell. We all miss you, and we enjoyed having you with us a
great deal. The research that you carried out on potential facilities renters continues to be useful,
and we appreciate so much your efforts on behalf of the Garden.

You will of course recall the direct mail and email campaign you executed near the end of your
tenure here. Those types of efforts take time to yield results, and I'm writing today not only to
thank you for your wonderful efforts, but to share some of those results with you. At the Finance
Committee last week the spreadsheets told an uplifting story - rental income had increased by
more than 50%, well exceeding projections! It is impossible to tease out exactly what factors
created this happy situation - we have been working with some success to increase our press
coverage and visibility, for example - but I am convinced that your wok played a big role in
boosting our earned income over the last quarter. Thank you, Arlene!

If you need a reference, please don't hesitate to give my name and number. We were so pleased
to have you here and really appreciate the excellent work that you carried out here at Queens
Botanical Garden.

Sincerely,

             0
