5. My name is Pedro Canário, and I’m a Communication Designer.
In the last year, I’ve simultaneously worked in two companies located
in downtown Porto. Hive Solutions, where I worked as a Web and UI/
UX Designer, and Lugar da Jóia, where I worked as a graphic designer,
product photographer and videographer.
This experience in the last year has increased my working knowledge
of these areas, in which I now consider myself fairly capable.
Beyond that, and given my academic path, I have experience in
Branding, Editorial Design, Typograhy and Typeface Design. I also
have experience working in sound design and composing.
Despite not having worked recently in these areas, I have a basic
understanding of HTML & CSS, having also learned a bit of JS and PHP.
Although I may not be a skilled developer, given my acquaintace and
love of the area, I’m sure that if need be, I could re-learn them and be
able to develop front-end websites in no time.
Given all this, I consider myself a fairly capable and versatile
designer, always willing to learn new things, and as such, I hope
I will be considered further.
