Climate Innovation
The warnings about global warming
have been going on for several decades
I have paid attention to the claims and
the researchers and for many years I
believed that most of the statements
banished about then were based on weak
or false “research” claims.

Climate Innovation
I may be in the under educated majority
group for three reasons:
1. I am still not convinced that the majority
of the climate change is manmade
2. But I am now convinced that it is really
happening and it is not a good thing
3. We need to do something immediately
and do it over a long time

Keep In Mind That Climate Control Is
Not The Only Global Vital Issue
1. The world needs lots of clean potable
water
2. We need to protect our rivers and
oceans
3. We need to manage out marine life
A. Tuna, Cod, Whales, plankton
4. We need to protect our forests, wildlife, and
even re-grow our ancient forests
5. Global peace would be nice too

At the meetings in Ethiopia and Cape Town it
was clear to me that Africa is short of power
and hydroelectric power was not a current
solution. Rebels cut the transmission lines for
multiple reasons.
While I believed that PV Solar could help in the
deep jungle, I sensed no role for me to play.

Cluster Innovation Again
I made statements to the Malaysian Industrial
Development Agency (MIDA) about bonding
Arizona and Malaysia (already Az's 3rd highest
trading partner) as a solar panel “buying region”
(think of it as a new kind of Cluster definition)
and Malaysia as the seller Cluster.
I said I wanted power people from (MIDA) to
visit in Phoenix with my Governor.

The dream is for AZ to buy $300 Million in solar panels in the
next year (Arizona bought $2.7 M in panels in 2008). My
argument to MIDA (who's charter is for inward investment) is
does MIDA really care that the $2.7 M is in buying Malaysia’s
product instead of starting a "new" company. Malaysia gets the
money into Malaysia, the new jobs, and a healthy kick start of
their infant industry.
Arizona gets what it wants; to be the first Solar Energy State in
the US. Arizona, as a CONSUMER CLUSTER (a new concept
for TCI) is tied at the hip to a traditional regional selling
Cluster. It is Climate Innovative and does new wonders for
Clustering.

Dear Bob,
I am directed to refer to the above.
I am pleased to inform you that Mr. … and I would like to request for a meeting with you
at your place on December 17 in the afternoon. We are very much interested to hear from
you the very best experience of your recent trip to Malaysia and ideas that we could share
to further enhance bilateral trade and investment between US and Malaysia.
You favorable response will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
With best regards,
Shams …

I am “working” at the Mexican Presidential
level (sort of) in Mexico and Arizona and
Guaymas, Mexico to compliment our
Longbeach Port in California. Now if
Guaymas is going to be a major alternate
port to Arizona I wanted to get First Solar to
ship PV Panels from Malaysia through
Guaymas - at a bargain rate - to
Arizona. Everyone makes more money in
this deal.

Solar PV Boom in Arizona
n Davis Monthan AFB has written a new chapter in
American leadership by having the military’s largest solar-
generating capacity.
n The base turned on what one of the nation's biggest solar
power plants – a 14.5-megawatt photovoltaic array. That
gave D-M the military’s largest photovoltaic plant,
surpassing the 14.2-megawatt array built at Nellis Air
Force Base in Nevada three years ago.
n D-M already is home to the largest solar neighborhood in
the nation. Some 6 megawatts of solar generating capacity
has been installed at the Soaring Heights community on
the base, meeting about 75 percent of the peak power
demand in the housing area.

LEDs and about 10X more efficient on the use of
electricity. The world uses about 30% of its power to
generate light! It is nice to be a techie. My idea is a
Climate Control related innovative. If I also get
cooperation from Malaysia (or elsewhere) and from LED
companies like some that I visited I will help to get
Penang (and Kuala Lumpur and Selangor) established as
“THE” LED Optics Valley of the world.
This is Cluster supply building in the traditional
sense. Malaysia gets the money into Malaysia, the new
jobs, and a healthy kick start of their infant industry.
