OF A NURSING CAREER
What does a nurse do? 
A nurse is licensed professional who assesses patients, administers medications, 
performs medical treatments, and cares for patients and their families in a time of 
need.
Who can become a nurse? 
Anyone can become a nurse with the proper education and licensure requirements 
met. A nursing degree can be obtained in 2-4 years at an authorized education 
center. All nurses must pass a state board examination prior to beginning their career.
