To make an island, students used various materials like coffee grounds, glue, paper, sand, and foam board. They glued blue paper with glue to form the base, added coffee grounds to represent soil, and surrounded it with sand to create a beach. Finally, they cut out and glued trees and placed animal figures to complete their model islands.

2. To make an island you need coffee grounds,
glue, stapler, green blue and brown paper. You
also need sand, foam board and animals.

3. We put glue on the blue paper and
spread it around.

4. Next we put coffee on for the soil.

5. Then we put sand around it for the
beach.

6. Then we cut out leaves for our
trees.

7. We glued the trees to our island.

8. Finally we put animals on. We made
cool islands!
