Beginners Guide to TikTok for Search - Rachel Pearson - We are Tilt __ Bright...
Idea pitch
1. Brief
A promotion package for the release of an album, to
include a music promo video together two of the following:
A website homepage for the band
A cover for its release as part of a digipak
A magazine advertisement for the digipak
2. Initial Idea
The song is called Don’t Go and is by The Montagues, a
small and relatively new four-piece indie rock band.
Because the song is very moody and contains
melancholic connotations, the music video will also
contain simlar themes.
The video will be about a
couple who have broken
up and the boy sees his
partner everyday but as a
black and white figure,
because he is seeing the
past memories that he
spent with her.
8. Institutions
Cooking Vinyl-The View, Pidgeon Detectives, The Blackout.
Very similar genre
Fierce Panda- Oasis, The Blackout, Placebo
Also very similar genre. A lot of videos done for the indie/rock
genre
XL Recordings had some indie artists but also some
mainstream and non-indie artists, so it was not as appropriate
as something like Cooking Vinyl or Fierce Panda.
9. Target Audience
Students, aged around 18-25. I chose this age range
because a lot of songs in the indie/rock genre are focused
around common aspects of teenage/student life, such as
relationships. My target demographic would also include
those who are fans of the indie/rock genre.
Editor's Notes
Black and white is used to emphasise that she not part of reality and is a memory, as black and white imagery is usually used to tell the audience when a scene is a past event. The dark tones will also emphasise the moody and depressing connotations.
Black and white imagery used in Ink to highlight that it is a past event
Both flatplans had a very similar layout to the Maximo Park and The Arctic Monkeys websites (despite the second flatplan being a magazine advertisement rather than a website)
Reminiscing on past events, Main focus is different compared to the environment, things happening around him aren’t real
Similar colour scheme, refers to past events in a relationship.
