The Partner & Managing Partner of Broad Park Capital, LLC, Ira Brody
has immense professional experience, having worked with many
leading organizations. He was a candidate for the State Senate from
New York (36th District). He campaigned for the job of state treasurer
who is responsible for supervising the state’s retirement and
investment funds along with workers’ compensation pool. Moreover,
he also worked as an Assistant Secretary to the Governor, State of
New York, and undertook the responsibility for monitoring the NYC
finances. He worked with the Financial Control Board and
represented the Governor in the down state region.
3. Academic qualifications
Ira Brody received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political
Economy from Murphy Institute of Political Economy, Tulane
University, New Orleans. During his college years, he was the
Chairman of Louisiana and Southern States Association of
College Republicans, and the founder as well as member of
Celebrate Difference – a racial harmony group. Thereafter,
he pursued his Master of Business Administration in Finance
from Kogod College of Business Administration, The
American University. He was a Columnist of the Student
Newspaper and a member of Dean’s Selection Committee.
4. Analyst at the Office of Management &
Budget, City of New York
In this capacity, Ira Brody was responsible for Advanced
Mayoral Privatization initiatives on City fueling, building
maintenance and automotive fleet management
restructuring. He also contributed in the development of
financial models projecting cost/benefits to the City.
5. Coordinator at Victory ‘93
From August 1993 to November 1993, Ira Brody was a
Coordinator at Victory ’93 whereby he created a database
for handling more than 1,500 pollwatchers and 11,000
election inspectors for ballot security program. He
supervised and directed troubleshooting network on the
Election Day.
6. Humanitarian activities
Aside from being a successful professional, Ira Brody is also a
humanitarian who is on the board of Rutherford LEAP, a program
designed to offer laptops to the 7th graders of Rutherford County. He
is also associated with MY Sister’s Place and makes significant
contributions to the organizations. During his college time, he was
also a member of the Community Service Committee.
