The 2016 Pinnacle Awards Charity Galla will be honoring the legendary Bunny Debarge an
American singer­songwriter best know as the lone female sibling of the Motown Family Group
DeBarge. She is also best know as the lead vocalist behind the classic R&B ballad, "A
Dream" from the group's "In a Special Way" ablum and is also the co­writer of the group's
1982 breakthrough hit, "I Like It" and the number one hit "Time Will Reveal" Bunny DeBarge
was a victim of child abuse and will be sharing his amazing life journey in this momentous
visit to Philadelphia.
The event is being hosted by Cherri Gregg of KYW News Radio and will begin with a VIP
Dinner Gala and speeches by Bunny DeBarge, Dr. Sharon McDaniel, Nikki Johnson­
Huston, Esq. and Charles J. Stecker, Jr. beginning at 6pm followed by live musical
performances featuring Philadelphia’s own Breakwater beginning at 8pm. Live honorary
musical tributes will be performed by the legendary Bunny DeBarge and other top name
Recording Artists to be annouced. This is a Black Tie Affair.
Being Beautiful Foundations’ founder and CEO Valerie Crabbe has been featured on numerous
television interviews including the Oxygen Network, NBC Today Show, Fox News New York,
6abc Action News and her work was also featured in a national outreach campaign sponsored
by TD Bank called #MakeTodayMatter which received over 5 million views.
This is a charitable cause event. Being Beautiful Foundation is a Pennsylvania non­profit
501c3 organization. Charitable proceeds from this event will be used to support Being
Beautiful Foundation's Residential Homes program for Foster Children.
