2. What is Hypertriglyceridemia?
Hypertriglyceridemia is a condition were the blood levels
of triglyceride levels are high. This is caused by
uncontrolled diabetes, obesity and sedentary habits. The
raised levels of triglycerides can be linked with
cardiovascular diseases such as strokes and heart attacks.
3. Causes:
There are many causes of Hypertriglyceridemia. The main
cause is a diet high in fat. However, high alcohol intake
and drugs such as steroids can increase the chances of
developing high triglycerides. Diabetes from obesity that
have not been taken care of, age, or other disease can
be causes as well.
4. Symptoms:
Most people with Hypertriglyceridemia will experience no
symptoms. Some may have abdominal pain from the
pancreases. There may be skin symptoms, eye
abnormalities, or enlarged liver or spleen.

45 or older, taking medicine to lower cholesterol, and have
elevated triglycerides. To qualify you may also have a history of
