WhatsApp has surpassed one billion users, making it one of the most widely used messaging applications in the world. The company reported that WhatsApp now manages 42 billion messages and 250 million videos shared daily between friends and family. However, some major markets, like China with WeChat, South Korea with Kakao Talk, and Japan with Line, have resisted WhatsApp's dominance and these other applications remain popular.

WhatsApp has surpassed one billion subscribers, as announced in its official blog the mobile
messaging service owned by Facebook. "This means that almost one in seven people worldwide
use WhatsApp every month to keep in touch with loved ones, friends, and family", says the text.
According to figures from the company, the service manages 42,000 million messages and 250
million videos a day.
The mobile messaging most used in the world exceeds 200 million Messenger, also owned by
