Wrappinghisarms aroundher,he laidhisheadinher shoulder.Hertearswere pouringnon-stop,her
heartwas inpieces,andshe couldn’tunderstandwhythishadhappenedtoher.There were somany
meninthisworldyetshe seemto choose the wrongone..
“I’m sorry.”He said,butshe hear nothinginhisheartfeltspeechnotevenherownsobs.“Ilove you
but..”he continued.
“No,stop!” she said.“Howcould- How..I mean..Have youknownall along?”she franticallysaidand
lookedandhim,“Howcouldyou sayyou love me?”
He triedreachingoutforher but she wastoo quick.“I don’tunderstandhow thishappened.How all of
thishappened!”she saidandstartedpacingaroundthe room. She felt hurt,she feltbetrayed..she felt..
she didn’tunderstand.She startedgaspingforair,immediately,he wentandgraba chairfor her and
saidall the thingshe knewshe neededtohear.She deserve it,she deserve tohearitall.
He kneeleddownandlookedintohereyes,“Ididn’tmeantofall inlove.Ididn’twantto, I triedmybest
not to betrayyou,I reallydid.”he sobbed,“I..I’msorry.Please,listentome.”Butshe refusedtolookat
him.
“You’re tellingme the thingsIalreadyknow.”She replied.
“You’re beautiful,insideandout,someone deservesyoumore thanIdo. I love you,”he grabbedher
hands,“but youknowwe can’t be together.” She shookherheadindenial;she couldn’tbelieve what
was happeningtoher.
“I’m sorry.I’msorry we can’t be together.I’msorrythat hishappenedbutmostof all I’m sorry for
hurtingyou.”He laidhisheadon herknees,beggingforherforgiveness.
The pain inhisvoice cut throughhers.She lovesthismanand she will alwayslove him.Ithurtsto lookat
himand knowthat they’ll neverbe together.Lookingathim, she realizedhow selfishshe was,painful as
it was,she needtolethimgo.
“…I’m sorry.I neverknew,notuntil itwastoo late.”he continued.
“Shhh.”she said,“Look at me,”theireyesbothswollenandwaterymet,“it’sokay.Ilove youtoobut..”
she suddenlystopandtooka deepbreath.
