2. Introduction
As government tenders and contracts are awarded to more and more deserving
SME’s, which rely on this form of income to survive and grow, problems of attaining
finance and the adequate resources to fulfill their obligations have arisen. Many of these
SME’s, whilst masters of their own trade, struggle to attain the correct type of funding for
their individual style of running their business’. Zamelo (PTY) Ltd aims to assist these
SME’s to receive the correct type of finance and support that is perfectly suited to each
individual business. The founders of Zamelo (PTY) Ltd are committed to growing a
strong and thriving middle class in South Africa by ensuring that these SME’s, which are
the back bone of the economy, are able to grow and thrive with the right methods of
finance supporting them.
Ownership and background
Zamelo (PTY) Ltd is a majority black owned and owner managed company;
established in the year 2017 by Mr Tumelo Kwena Matlala and Mr Zane Jason Stenning.
The two founding partners are both young South African entrepreneurs who formed a
friendship and working relationship whilst studying medicine at the University of the
Witwatersrand. Although their official field of study/expertise is somewhat out of the
financial industry, they both have had working experience of running their own small
business’ in the past and now will bring their integrated practical and theoretical know-
how to the business of providing individualised funding and financing for SME’s in South
Africa.

3. Vision
Zamelo’s vision for the future is to transform into the premier financial broker for
all SME’s, and at a certain point large enterprises too, that are awarded state tenders
across South Africa. Furthermore in the future, Zamelo (PTY) Ltd hopes to make its
services available to a wider range of businesses, with or without state tender contracts.
Mission
Zamelo (PTY) Ltd will work tirelessly to provide a tailored financial brokerage
package that allows its clients to be secure in their ability to fulfill their tender contracts
and reach the goals that would have otherwise fallen by the wayside. Zamelo (PTY) Ltd
will strive to provide clients with financial support that allows them to streamline their
operations and run efficiently.
Objectives
• Run a customer driven business that addresses the needs of the client in a timeous and
professional manner.
• Create jobs that can provide not only employment, but also an education for our
employees, on our country’s economic systems and financial institutions.
• Create a working environment which enables our employees, from all backgrounds, to
move up the chain of command at the company through the training and knowledge
they have gained at Zamelo.
Through the previous two objectives Zamelo (PTY) Ltd will do its part in
addressing the education crises in this country, a cause which Zamelo (PTY) Ltd
holds dear, by providing employment for students in need.
• Bring government, big banks and the other financial institutes of South Africa to the
table, in terms of creating financing opportunities for SME’s that are viable and able to
adequately support this sector.
• Enable our clients to make informed decisions on how they want to finance their
company, allowing them to grow without the hindrance of unmanageable debt.

4. Aims
• Place the interests and welfare of the client’s business before the profit potential of each
contract we manage.
• Zamelo aims to employ students, who are struggling financially and that come from all
fields of academic study and education, to assist in the routine day-to-day runnings of
the business whilst at the same time providing them with an education on the services
that are offered. This will allow them to move up in the company and get positions of
more responsibility and renumeration which would not be possible at other companies
without a degree in the particular field of operation.
• Structure employee contracts and duties with flexibility to allow the aforementioned
students to still stay committed to their studies and school obligations whilst at the
same time being able to perform their duties to Zamelo.
• Engage in talks with government on possibly offering the banks and financial
institutions of South Africa tax breaks or BBBEE status upgrades upon the commission
of loans and finance tailored for black owned SME’s that have been awarded
government tenders.
• Understand the goals and visions of our clients business’ to enable Zamelo to
orchestrate the search for a financial package that not only works for the present but
also supports the clients goals for the future.
Goals
Expanding from financing only SME’s to bigger and more diverse projects as the
Zamelo name becomes synonymous with professional service delivery and exceptional
financial know-how. Build a base of government contract service providers who return to
Zamelo for our expertise, which helped them build their businesses from the beginning,
for years to come. Finally to become the company that brings government and financiers
together to support the SME’s in a deal which makes the SME’s able to perform their
contracts to the best of their abilities, allowing the big financial service providers to benefit
from the loans and allowing government tenders to be brought to completion and serve
the people of this amazing country.

5. Core Values
Provide a financial facilitatory service to the client which has a foundation of strong
ethics and honesty. Where integrity and respect toward the client and the citizens of
South Africa, who will be benefitting from the tender, are made a compulsory clause and
cornerstone of every deal that is made.
Skills and Community Development
Zamelo (PTY) Ltd is going to integrate skills development with its commitment to
serve the community in which it operates. Zamelo seeks to employ previously
disadvantaged students who are struggling financially in the current education crisis this
country is going through. Whilst working for Zamelo students will be educated on the
skills needed to perform not only their current jobs but skills allowing them to advance to
positions of leadership and responsibly, without glass ceilings holding them back.
Employee contracts would be constructed to accommodate both their work and university
commitments as well as aid in supplementing their academic fees.
