183 people were arrested by Delhi Police in connection with farmers' protests between 2020 and July 2021. All of those arrested were granted bail and none remained in jail. No charges of sedition or anti-terrorism laws like UAPA were invoked against any of the arrested farmers.

1808. SHRI BINOY VISWAM:
Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the total number of people that have been arrested in connection with
the farmers' protest since 2020 by the Delhi Police;
(b) the total number of persons still in jail who have been arrested during
the farmers protest by Delhi Police; and
(c) the number of cases in which provisions of sedition or any other anti-
terror law such as Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) has been
invoked against these arrested farmers by Delhi Police?

(a) and (b): 183 people have been arrested by Delhi Police in connection
with the farmers’ protest since 2020 (upto 20.07.2021) and all of them are
on bail.
(c): As per Delhi Police, the provisions of sedition or any other anti-terror
law such as Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) have not been
invoked in any of the cases registered against protesting farmers.
