Re: Letter of Recommendation for Ms. Zahara Hill
To Whom It May Concern:
This is a strong statement attesting to the fine personal/professional qualities and skills of Ms.
Zahara Hill. Although my acquaintance with Ms. Z. Hill has been just under one year, I must,
unequivocally state, that I remain impressed with Ms. Hill’s enthusiasm, eagerness to acquire
new skills, easy to work with and direct; and, above all, she is warm, effusive and has displayed
an extraordinary aptitude to work independently and effectively.
I first met Ms. Zahara Hill at a Press Conference in September 2014 at which she represented
Her Campus Temple University as a journalist. Since this event, Ms. Hill and I have formed an
abiding professional bond! For one of her journalism University courses, Ms. Hill interviewed
me as the Executive Director of Institute for the Development of African-American Youth, Inc.
(IDAAY) functioning as the lead for some ten grassroots organizations in the mobilization of
dozens of young individuals in gathering 7,000 signatures across the City of Philadelphia as a
direct attempt to persuade our Mayor (Michael A. Nutter) to sign Bill 140377. At the completion
of this epoch event, I then invited Ms. Hill to join my political campaign as a PR consultant. In
this position, Ms. Hill was responsible for generating press releases, contacting a wide variety of
media personnel to cover various aspects of my electoral campaign, write strategic stories on me
and the campaign; and, in total, Ms. Hill was responsible for the overall public “face” for this
intense initiative. As a totally blind individual, I was extremely pleased with Ms. Hill’s work
especially when newly met individuals informed me as to their professional point-of-views about
the public look of the campaign.
In closing, I highly recommend Ms. Zahara Hill for any position she deems herself qualified. I
have taught hundreds of individuals, trained and supervised dozens; and, I truly believe that Ms.
Hill demonstrated to me an unusually high degree of workmanship. If you should need
additional information on this candidate, please feel free to contact me via the above address, via
my cellular telephone at 215-901-6976 or via my email at aleacock@idaay.org
Many thanks.
Sincerely yours,
S. Archye Leacock
