2. I had the opportunity of growing up in a Christian home. At the age
of ten , June 2, 1994, I asked the Lord to save me. At the age of
fourteen I surrendered to be a missionary. I graduated with a degree
in missions from Oklahoma Baptist College in 2006.
Sara also had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home.
She was saved at the age of nine and surrendered to the mission
field at the age of sixteen. Sara graduated from Oklahoma Baptist
College in 2006 with a degree in missions/elementary education.
On June 2, 2006 we were married. The Lord has blessed our home immensely and given us five wonder-
ful children (two Americans and three Brazilians). God has been so good to us.

3. After graduation we had the opportu-
nity of working in the ministry of Pastor
Larry Stark at Bible Baptist
Church. This was an extra blessing be-
ing able to learn at the feet of
Sara’s pastor in her home church.
After two and a half years the Lord allowed us be the first missionaries sent by our church. It has
been an extremely exciting time for us and the church.
We arrived in sÃo Paulo, Brazil in September of 2012. We have spent two and a half years working
in the ministry of missionary Sean Lunday at New Life Baptist Church. Our first year was focused on
our language and culture adjustment. I had the opportunity of going to one more year of school.
Sara stayed home with the kids and was able to learn through a personal tutor. This last year and a
half we have been heavily involved in the ministries of the church: evangelism, bus ministry, music
ministry, banquet planning, & maintenance. We have had the opportunity to learn so many things in
a short amount of time.
Upon our return to Brazil we will be moving to the
Amazon Basin. The Javari Valley is one of the
least reached areas in the Amazon River Basin.
We are praying about the possibility of basing out
of the city of Tabatinga. This area is called the
“three frontiers” (where Columbia, Peru, and Brazil
all meet). It has a population of 59,684 and to-
gether with the neighbouring Colombian city of
Leticia and the Peruvian city of Santa Rosa de
Yavari, the urban area has more than 100,000 resi-
dents spread along the Amazon river. Our goal is
to start a church in Tabatinga and use this
church as a base to reach the fishing villages
and tribes in this region.
When we arrive we will joining missionary
Jonathan Hernandez who has been in this re-
gion since 2013. Those who fail to plan, plan to
fail, but please pray for us that we will walk
through the open doors that the Lord gives us.
