- Is Joomla only a piece of software? Just a piece of code? (Or crappy shit like some people tend to say) Is it only 3 percent of the internet? Just millions of websites in the internet? So More websites than Austria has residents? Nowadays there is a lot of discussion on the product future of Joomla! The best way to move it forward. And there are as many opinions as people out there. And a lot of people are complaining. But is Joomla not more than that? --- Ist Joomla nur ein Stück Software? Nur ein Produkt? Nur 3.2 % des Internets? Viele Millionen Webseiten. Mehr Webseiten basieren auf Joomla! Als Österreich Einwohner hat. Zur Zeit wird viel über die Zukunft von Joomla und den “richtigen” Weg diskutiert.. Aber ist Joomla nicht mehr?!
- Joomla ist nicht nur ein CMS.. Es ist viel mehr. Es ist das Ergebnis von 1000en Menschen die all Ihr Wissen, Energie, Hoffnungen gegeben haben. Eine gemeinsame Idee, Joomla bringt Menschen aus allen Ländern der gesamten Welt zusammen. Die Welt wird kleiner mit Joomla, Differences becomes variety and the own horizon is extending .

- Design Lead Joomla A lot of of the images on j.org are from her. For the current Landing page she worked 60 hours a week. She went almost nuts doing so.. Instead of writing her part of the book or doing her customer works she focused on Joomla. So you know what joomla 3.6 is about.. In 27 languages (at the start, more now) She’s always helping if someone is asking.

- So if you see some of them here. Give them a JBeer, because you all see and feel there work every day.
- But wait, only them??? No, there are 100s of people more. Like Sigrid and the whole jday austria team who worked really hard to make this event possible Like Brian, George, Michael which i did not tell something off because everyone knows them.
- The learning curve in Joomla! can be quite high. But don't give up on that, ask for help, learn, wrestle through and be eager to experience something new. This is your opportunity to learn and experience a lot more then in a normal job. Working at an Open Source project, means that people putting all their enthusiasm and a lot of spare time into it. Let you carry by this, even when things get rough and complicated. Open Source is living from constant contribution, it is as a lifetime project. And it will return you far more then you give. Experience, Knowledge, Friends, Events, Contacts, Jobs and the great feeling doing something meaningful, something magic!
- Warum? Wir hatten ja in den letzten Jahren einige Sicherheitslücken. Wie 3.4.5, 6, 7 (welches im Grunde eine PHP Lücke war) oder gerade vor kurzem mit 3.6.4.. Also warum ist Joomla! Sicherer? -> Joomla macht 3.2% des Webs aus, dass heißt unser System ist um ein vielfaches mehr getestet als properitäre Nischensysteme -> Sicherheitslücke werden professionell vom JSST und in zusammenarbeit mit den großen Hostern behoben. -> Jede Änderung am Joomla! Kern benötigt mindestens 2 zusätzliche Tester, bevor diese übernommen wird. Wir haben also deutlich mehr Augen auf dem Code als andere Systeme.
