I have had the pleasure of having Miss Nancy Yue Yuan as a student in my Rooms
Division Operations classes for the past semester at Les Roches International School
of Hotel Management.
The Rooms Division Operations course of our post-graduate diploma programme
introduces the students to Rooms Division daily operational procedures occurring at
all stages of the Guest Cycle. Focus is placed on the staffing and training
requirements necessary to deliver guest satisfaction and financial gain for the hotel.
Students also have the opportunity to develop practical knowledge and skills required
of Front Office and Housekeeping staff.
Nancy is an excellent student with a very positive attitude to her studies. She is a
calm, polite and mature person who comes to class on time, prepared, and
contributes to all learning activities. I must also make note of Nancy’s exceptional
academic performance on the Rooms Division Operations course. Out of a student
cohort of 63, Nancy had the best grade. Her above-average performance is a direct
result of her hard work and strong focus on both the academic and the practical
aspects of the course.
Nancy is keen to complete her internship period within the Rooms Division of a hotel
and has a particular interest in the Housekeeping department. I strongly support her
and recommend she be given every consideration in this regard. I believe she
possesses all the necessary skills for a Rooms Division employee and that she will
accomplish her tasks with great initiative and a very positive attitude, making a fine
addition to your team.
