breed founder Carol Ann
Brewer of Washington State to
be the progency of naturally
occurring bobcat hybrids.
DNA testing have failed to
detect bobcat marker
genes and Pixie-bobs are
considered wholly domestic for
the purposes of ownership, cat
fancy registration.

A polydactyl cat is a cat with
a congenital physical
called polydactyly (or
polydactylism, also known as
hyperdactyly), a type of cat body
type that causes the cat to be
born with more than the usual
number of toes on one or more
of its paws.

Lakewood, California as

in Australia commencing in 1976,
hence its name. The breed was
developed by crossing
the Burmese, Abyssinian, and
miscellaneous domestic short
hair cat to create a short-haired
cat with a spotted coat.

Like the Asian Shorthair, the
breed was developed in
Britain, and is not currently
recognised by any U.S.

recognition in the GCCF and
