John Endicott here, President of Woosong University and Vice Chancellor of SolBridge
International School of Business of Daejeon, South Korea; we have an MOU with your
university and wish to propose as a candidate for participation in the program a very
bright gentleman with his Bachelors of Management from Chongqing University of
Posts and telecommunications of Chongqing, China, Mr. Yi Cheng.
Yi has been with us at the SolBridge International School of Business since the Fall
Semesterof 2014. He has compiled an impressive record already having taken four
required 3-hour courses with a 4.13 GPA in a 4.5 system. A quick review of his short bio
reveals a very diligent student who has amassed a remarkable list of awards and
scholarships in his academic career. He has indicated his keeninterest in joining
Valparaiso, and I believe he will make a great individual to be our first 1+1 student
gaining both degrees from Valparaiso and Woosong. Of course, he is fully engaged in
taking MBA courses this semesteralso.
This is an exciting moment for us at SolBridge as we were visited several years ago by
the Dean of the Business School and our Executive vice DeanWilliam Patrick Leonard
has visited Valparaiso several times in the last few years.
We believe that Mr. Cheng is representative of the 21st Century dynamic businessmen of
China. He has passion to begin his own business after completing our joint program,
and put into practice the education he is receiving here and will receive at Valparaiso.
