Dear potential recruiters in automotive industry,
I am a Ph.D. candidate with the major of mechanical engineering in Tsinghua University,
and I will get my doctoral degree in July, 2016. I am writing to apply for engineer’s
position in automotive industry related to vehicle occupant and pedestrian safety. I
believe my education background and working experience made me a qualified
candidate for this kind of positions.
I studied the major of mechanical engineering since I entered college, and the School
of Automotive Engineering at Jilin University ranked top 2 among all the same schools
in China. After getting my bachelor degree, I was recommended for studying for
doctoral degree in Department of Automotive Engineering at Tsinghua University,
which is the top university in China. During the year of 2013 and 2014, I studied and
worked in Center for Applied Biomechanics at University of Virginia as a joint visiting
Ph.D. student, and during that period, I worked on the project related to pedestrian
protection funded by a leading company in automotive industry, and I was responsible
for developing mathematical pedestrian model and optimizing the bio-fidelity
characteristics and finally validating the model, using the software of MADYMO and
LS-DYNA, etc. So I think my background of education and working experience made
me a qualified candidate for the engineer’s position related to occupant and pedestrian
safety.
I firmly believe that working in and growing with the automotive industry will be a
great experience in my life, I am very willing to contribute my knowledge and
experience to the companies of this field.
