The electoral system is a creation of the republic. It is a representation of the nation, this is a consequence of the Napoleonic invasion.They are corporate and hard choices. The elections to the Cortes of Cadiz continue until the 19th century with indirect elections. In the parish elected the voters they weresummoned to the provincial election boards and also were those who chose to authorities.San Martin convened the first independent elections.
    1951: In April came the electoral clubs who came to cover much of the country and these were articulated Lima. They are the first trials of political parties. From Electoral Independence Club Society, promoted byManuel Prado for sponsoring his candidacy for President of the Republic, was founded in 1872, the Civil PartyManuel Pardo and the beginning Lavalle. In company called Electoral Independence
1854: He got game for the first time a regulation of direct and universal suffrage: the people appointed to the candidates and not an electoral college. 1876: For the first time in the history of Peru, Manuel Pardo handed  the presidential sash to the new president, General Mariano Ignacio Prado.  Some qualify as the first example of democracy
