William Harnisch serves as the founder and chief investment strategist of Peconic Partners in New
York City. Also active philanthropically, William Harnisch founded the Harnisch Foundation, which he
currently manages.

The Harnisch Foundation works to advance the rights of women and to foster a more equitable
society. For the most part, its efforts take the form of grants and strategic investments in programs like
the Diversity Initiative at Chicken & Egg Pictures, a production company devoted to storytelling by
women.

4. Chicken and Egg Pictures Celebrates Diversity
The Chicken & Egg diversity program supports progressive nonfiction projects that go beyond the
typical white male perspective. Over the course of a year, the program provides funding and mentoring
to select female directors. Grantees also receive access to workshops and special programming.
Since its inception in 2005, the initiative has provided over $6 million in grants to nearly 300
filmmakers.
