»» For the first time since the 2009 season, the Lady Buffs will be under the
guidance of a new head coach as former WT All-American Kendra Potts was
introduced as the 15th head coach in program history back on December 10th.
»» The Lady Buffs open the 2019 season inside of the WTAMU Fieldhouse as
they host the annual BritKare Lady Buff Classic. WT is a staggering 479-79
(.858) inside of The Box since 1980.
»» 2019 marks the 25th straight season that the Lady Buff Classic will take place
on opening weekend, WT is 23-2 when opening the season at the event during
the last quarter century.
»» Portland native Selena Batiste enters her senior campaign ranked sixth all-
time in career assists at West Texas A&M with 2,903. Reigning LSC Libero of
the Year Chandler Vogel enters her junior season with 1,223 career digs as the
Hereford High School product is on pace to challenge Lauren Beville’s (2009-
12) all-time career mark of 2,423.
