• Two main institutions which archive the web: the British Library (BL) and The
National Archives of the UK (TNA)
• Two different legislative frameworks: The Legal Deposit Libraries (Non-Print
Works) Regulations 2013 and the Public Records Act (various versions from
1838)
• Two ‘national’ web archives: the UK Web Archive (BL) and the UK
Government Web Archive (TNA)
• Two primary modes of access: on-site only in the UK’s six legal deposit
libraries (BL etc.) and free to anyone online (TNA)
