Autoliv is a Swedish-American company that develops, manufactures and markets active and
passive safety systems for OEMs. The company is one of the world's largest providers of seat belts
and airbags and its largest markets are the United States and Europe which both accounted for
around one third of its sales in 2015; China and Japan together made up another quarter. The

The Company is a worldwide leader in automotive safety systems that develops and manufactures
automotive safety systems, for all major automotive manufacturers in the world. The product
categories of the company include active safety and passive safety in which products of active safety
are developed by integrating vision systems, radar systems, night vision systems, active seat belts
and brake controllers. On the other hand, passive safety products are helpful after something wrong
has happened such as accident. Passive safety products include seat belts, pedestrian protection,
airbags and anti-whiplash. Autoliv Inc. operates in around 80 facilities with more than 60,000
employees in 28 countries. In addition to this, the company has 18 technical centers in nine countries
around the world, with 20 test tracks.
