Organisation of scholarly conferences, or sessions in conferences
As a member of the Board of the Society for Medieval Archaeology in Finland (SKAS) since 2006,
I have organised or helped in organising many of the society’s annual seminars.
As a member of the Scholarly Delegation of the ARTEFACTA network since 2010, I have taken
part in organising the network’s conferences.
In 2014, the Finnish Cultural Foundation granted a grant of 50,000 € to Dr Anu Lahtinen, Dr Visa
Immonen and Dr Elina Räsänen. The grant is to be used for organising a series of workshops during
a period of two years. The series is titled Material culture, gender and interdisciplinary analyses: A
multidisciplinary workshop for historians, archaeologist and art historians specialised on the
Middle Ages and Early Modern Period.
