who (a) Must be a holder of degree in law granted by a recogntzed Universtty established by
law rn India, (b) Must not have completed, as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications,
38 years of age in the case of candrdates belongrng to Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribes
and 35 years of age in the case of other candrdates, for preparation of a hst of candidates for
filling up of 5 (five) vacancies [l(one) for unreserved candidate and 4 (four)
reserved for APST candidatesl [1 (one) exisUng vacanry + 4 (four) anticrpated vacanctes]
rn Grade-III of Arunachal Pradesh Judicial Service rn the pay scale of Rs.27700-770-
33090-920-40450-1080-44770 per month plus other allowances as admisstble under the
Rules. The total vacancy position may vary at the time of final selection.
2. Save as otherwrse provided rn the Arunacahal Pradesh Judtcial Service Rules, 2006 (as
amended) relatrng to relaxation of age for reserved category candidates, 80o/o of the posts to
be filled up by direct recruitment is reserved for candidates belongrng to Arunachal Pradesh
Scheduled Tnbes (APST) and 20o/o of the posts rs unreserved.
3. No person shall be ehgrble for appointment to the servrce (a) unless he rs a citizen of India;
(b) If he has been dismrssed from servrce by any High Court, Government or statutory or local
authority; (c) if he has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude or who is or has
been permanently debarred or disqualified by the High Court or the Union Public Service
Commrssron or any State Public Service Commission from appearing in any examrnatron or
selection conducted by rt; (d) if he drrectly or rndirectly influences the recruitrng authority by
any means for his candidature and (e) rf he/she has more than one spouse living.
4. The duly filled up applicatron form rn the prescrrbed format along wrth all testmonials should
reach The Registrar, The Gauhati High Couft, Itanagar Permanent Bench, Naharlagun,
Arunacahal Pradesh, PIN-791110 on or before last date fixed for receipt of apphcation form.
The envelope containing the applicatron form and documents should be superscribed as
"Applicatron for drrect recruitment in Grade-III of APJS, 2019".
5. Self-Attested photocopres of all documents rn proof of the apphcantt educattonal
quahfications, Bar Councrl's Registratron (rf any), Age, Certificate of Pracbce (if any), Caste
Certificate etc. along wrth 4 (four) copies of recent passport size photographs should be
submrtted along wrth the Applicatron Form.
6. The envelope containing the application form and documents may be sent by post or the
same may be dropped rn the Drop Box kept rn the premrse of Itanagar Permanent Bench,
Gauhatr Hrgh Court, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh, PIN-791110 durrng office hours. No
applications wtll be recerved/ accepted after the last date fixed for recerpt of application forms.

2. 7. Indran Postal Order (IPO) of Rs. 200/- (two hundred) only for APST candidates and Rs. 400/-
(four hundred) only for others, payable to Regrstrar, Gauhatr High Coud, Itanagar Permanent
Bench, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh, PIN-791110 should also be enclosed with the
applicatron form.
8. The candidates have to appear rn a Prelimrnary Examination (ob;ectrve type multiple chorces)
of 100 marks (2 hours duration) which wrll cover English, General Knowledge, Aptrtude,
Constitutron of Indra, Code of Civil Procedure, Transfer of Property Act, Indian Contract Act,
Indian Penal Code, Crrminal Procedure Code, Indran evrdence Act and Law of Torts. From the
rank wise list of marks of the Prelimrnary Examrnation, 10 (ten) candidates will be called
against l(one) vacancy in the ratio of 1:10 for the Final Written Examinauon. However, the
Hrgh Court reserves the right to fix cut off mark in the Preliminary Examrnation and call only
those candidates to appear rn the Final Written Examrnation who obtarn the cut off mark as
may be fixed by the High Court.
9. All candldates who obtain 60 (sixty) percent or more marks or corresponding grade rn the
Final Wntten Examination shall be eligible for viva-voce of 70 (seventy) marks. Provided that
APST candidates who obtain 50 (fifty) percent or more marks or corresponding grade in the
Final Written Examination shall be ehgrble for vrva-voce. This will be subject to the ratio of 1:3
of the rank wrse hst of marks obtarned by the candidates in the Final Written Examinatron.
Selecton of candidates shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Final Written
Examrnation and viva-voce, subject to the cut off mark rndicated above. However, final
selectron shall be made subject to overall surtabrlity to be decrded by the High Court.
10. The examinatron/ viva-voce and all other condrtions for appointment shall be as per the
Arunachal Pradesh Judicral Service Rules, 2006, (as amended). The candidates shall have to
appear in the examrnatlon/ vrva-voce etc. at therr own expenses, as and when called for.
11. Mere rnclusion of the name of a candrdate rn the select list shall not confer on the candidate
any right of appointment.
12. Detarl syllabus for the written examrnation/ vrva-voce is annexed with thrs advertisement.
13. All other matters which are not specifically provrded rn this advertisement shall be as decided
by the Gauhati High Court.
