1. Case Study – A successful business consolidation in advance of growth activities
Background:
Our client, turned a passionate hobby into their business seven years ago and now runs one of the
most successful children’s activity businesses in the area. With an extensive number of children
taking part in activities on three different sites and with an increased number in staffing levels, our
client was struggling to manage the day to day business whilst trying to take a step back to see the
bigger picture and plan for future growth. The opportunity for expansion into other areas was clear
and compelling, however, on speaking with our client and spending time reviewing the business it
was evident that firstly there was a whole series of work to be done to consolidate the existing
business. CreateLogic has worked with our client to do this and to create a robust platform in terms
of best practice, consistency, branding and communications from which to further grow and
expand.
Work undertaken:
CreateLogic presented a proposal to our client outlining a raft of changes that could be made to
the business to strengthen the running and management of it; bringing it up to date with constantly
changing regulatory requirements. CreateLogic provide support via a monthly retainer contract to
ensure consistent dedicated focus to implement a raft of positive changes and to support the
strengthening of the business. Essentially CreateLogic work seamlessly with the business and have
become an integral part of the management structure.
Some of the work carried out by CreateLogic includes;
A complete revision of the activity scheduling, making it far easier for the client to manage
attendance, levels of attainment, assessment dates and staff allocation
Development of a comprehensive customer database including emergency and medical
information held for hundreds of children
A complete rewrite of all website content and collaboration with web designer on a new
logo, design of website and staff uniform
Rewrite of staff contracts, including, training agreements
Rewrite of the recruitment process and associated documents including; job vacancy, job
description, person specification and application form
Scheduled in to be completed is a rewrite of the operations manual as well as press and
media content for the re-launch of the business’s new branding.
Results:
More streamlined and efficient use of time and resources
Implemented a more structured and effective customer contact strategy
Improved customer experience when engaging through the re-designed website and
social media channels
Ensured compliance to industry, statutory and regulatory best practice
Robust policies have been developed and implemented to protect the interests of
customers, employees and the business
Implementation of quality training, monitoring and internal processes which is resulting in the
delivery of a higher level of service
