ONE LINER:
Okwuchukwu, a girl of four years old, terribly tormented by Esu, (an evil
god of the crossroad) in an ultramodern world, pensively reminiscence into a
Stone Age world to unravel the mystery behind her turmoil and the menace
of Esu to extinct an African vision of a Perfect World.
SYNOPSIS:
U U
In her passion to change their Stone-Age-World into an ultramodern and
Perfect World, Princess Erelu falls in love with Oloruntoba, a very wretched
Cave Boy.
Feeling terribly insulted and their royal position threatened by the young
lovers, Emperor Orunmuwa and Empress Erubawon supported by the
Council of World Witches declares war on their only daughter and her man.
Faced with these two mountains of problems, the lovers embark on a
dangerous journey to unravel the mystery and secret to an African
ultramodern world.
Unfortunately the secret, which they seek, can only be found in the bosoms
of their pursuing enemies.
Dreadfully chocked at a crossroad they make a vow to Esu, god of the cross
road who helped them to fight the battle based on an open-ended promise.
The mystery was uncovered. The battle was won.
An African vision of an ultramodern world was built.
They gave birth to the only child that Olodumare had granted them. The
child, Okwuchukwu turned out to be a mystery white child with golden eyes,
wild flaming hairs and always with a mysterious black Tin Drum. However,
as they settle down to the fruit of their labor, Esu demands for
Okwuchukwu, as a pay back. They refused.
Terribly angered by their refusal and Okwuchukwu’s peculiar nature,
coupled with their stubborn reminiscence, Esu declares war on their
ultramodern world and the rest is a chaotic history.

U
SLOW FADE IN:
1:
EXT/INT:
U ULTRAMODERN AFRICAN VILLAGE SQUARE. NIGHT. U
We see an ornamented, crystal-like Leaves, flying and slowly circling down
like a jet, but with an echoing sound of a lip whistling. Camera zooms in
closer.
We see OKWUCHUKWU, a four years old innocent little white girl, with
golden eyes and wild flaming hair.
She relaxes comfortably inside the Jet-leave with a very small black Tin
Drum under her armpit, while eating, drinking and listening to a Cricket like
music accompanied by a sonorously wailing African flute and chant.
She looks around from time to time at her exquisitely furnished and heavily
computerized Jet-Leave as it circles down through glistering skyscrapers of
various shapes and sizes.
The shimmering skyscrapers are made of pyramids of either fire, rain,
whirlwind, blood, native-chalk, synthetic cotton wool, ice or light but
glamorously and fully adorned with synthesized African cowries, beads,
caved images and feathers.
Equally flying to and fro are other objects with various shapes, sizes and
designs, but either looks like a leave, groundnut shell, local melon shell,
pestle, egg, coconut, sea shell or a short local broom, but all fully
embroidered and beautified with gold, diamonds, and other precious African
stones.
Okwuchukwu in her elated mood either smile or simply wave at the flying
objects as she circles into an unconventional African village square, which is
made up of some eccentric buildings as described above, but surrounds a
small roundabout that has a sacred temple belonging to Ogun, the god of
war. Close to the temple are some animals moving and playing around.
As Okwuchukwu’s Jet-Leave lands beside the temple, she dissolves out with
her Tin Drum, like a whirlwind and stands besides it, smiling and looking at
the dance movements going on inside the temple.
The temple is built of a caved metal, but glistering triangular, pyramid-like
hut. It is a transparent red colored, metal temple. Six wild looking spirit
warriors dressed in transparent red wool metal, suddenly appear in the
temple doing a contemporary dance that expresses the vibrant, spiritual, war
attitude of OGUN and accompanied by a very slow classical metallic sound
and a praise chant.
6. Suddenly, the floor of the red metal pyramid splits open and a vibrant giant,
Ogun, rises with a wild heavy smoke. Ogun’s dressing is made of all kinds
of strange weapons, but very shinny and red with a hair of delicate metallic
dread locks
OKWUCHUKWU
(EXULTANTLY)
Ogun laka aiye osi mo le!
(Greetings, Ogun, god of war!)
The metallic music and chant echoes and rises to a crescendo as if replying
the greeting and falls. As Okwuchukwu smiles, two strange very black
figures with wild teeth, hunchback and palm oil red eyes suddenly appear
and her smile disappears into a fright and a shock. The two creatures are
dressed in an ornamented palm fronds with very dark but shinny skin and
holding two dangerous canes made of flaming palm fronds. They suddenly
seize her.
ESU’S ACOLYTES
(WITH VENOM)
Acolytes of Esu, we are.
At the master’s temple, you must report…
OKWUCHUKWU
(STRUGGLING)
What…? Let’s go off me, you evil…!
She suddenly swings her flaming hair, releasing a volley of fire, which
instantly throws the Acolytes off balance for a moment. As she makes
towards her Jet-Leave, they quickly block her with their flaming palm frond
canes. She swings her hair again more vigorously, releasing more fire, which
hits them very hard. But as they scream with pain, they slowly interweave
into each other and form a more fearful creature with an echoing music
comprising of the sound of a battalion of Owls, Cats, triple female chanting
and a talking, pure leather drum.
Suddenly there is an echoing laughter from ESU, a whitish but dwarflike
creature with his coarse, creaky voice and long red hair sitting on a very
huge and terribly looking black stone. Okwuchukwu is shocked as the
frightful creature with a big hunchback, fast rolling eyes, red-palm-oil mouth
and fast feet appears.
7. ESU
(ANGRILY WITH A VERY FAST TONGUE)
The frowning face of a he-goat does not prevent it
from being taken to the market…little brat!
He throws a silvery cobweb, which instantly covers Okwuchukwu and sets
her Jet-Leave on fire. A terrible fear suddenly seizes Okwuchukwu as she
immediately becomes weak and screams with her hands helplessly stretched
towards Ogun who stands still in his temple ignoring her as his acolytes pay
homage to him with their contemporary dance movements.
OKWUCHUKWU
(CRYING)
Ogun…Ogun…god of war…
Please fight for me…
She struggles vigorously but in vain. A terrible smoke from Esu’s palm oil
mouth begins to engulf and suffocate her as her screaming echoes away.
DISSOLVE INTO.
OPENING CAPTION ROLLS.
8. 2: INT:
U OLORUNTOBA’S ULTRAMODERN HOME. DAY
Camera opens to reveal an exquisitely furnished ultramodern African home
made with sparkling Ice. The interior is an excellent combination of
synthetically golden and diamond bird nests, seashells and egg like
furnishings. An ageless black couple of about Forty years old,
OLORUNTOBA and ERELU could be seen in her ornamented clothing
made entirely with water. They relax and play comfortably with some birds
and wild pets in their unconventional African home. A camera pan to the
right reveals Okwuchukwu struggling in her sleep with the Tin drum under
her armpit as she lay in her coconut-like, but golden bed. As she screams
from her sleep, her parents rush to her.
ERELU
(WITH GREAT SHOCK)
What is it…Okwuchukwu?
Okwuchukwu wakes up sweating, panting for breath with eyes rolling about
fearfully and trembling as she grabs her Tin Drum ready to strike it with
terror in her eyes.
OLORUNTOBA/ERELU
(APPREHENSIVELY)
Hey…! Hold your peace and the drum… strike not…!
Okwuchukwu slowly calms down as she looks around.
OKWUCHUKWU
(STAMMERING)
A…A dream…
OLORUNTOBA
A dream? What about?
OKWUCHUKWU
I…I…Saw
There is suddenly an echoing laughter from outside followed by a
penetrating lightening on their iced door. They all freeze for a moment
looking at each other with shock.
9. ERELU
(THOUGHTFULLY)
Esu is before us…
The door suddenly flings open. Esu enters with his over powering smoke;
fast feet, rolling eyes and a mischievous smile accompanied by two wild
looking Acolytes. Unknowingly for her parents, Okwuchukwu begins to
tremble the more.
OLORUNTOBA/ERELU
Greetings …Esu Elegbara, god of the crossroad.
Esu walks about the sitting room restlessly staring at Okwuchukwu.
ESU
(SMILE MISCHIEVOUSLY)
I thank you…very much
OLORUNTOBA
Hmmm…What chases the snake from his hole this hot noon?
ESU
(CHUKLES WICKEDLY)
Promises. Promises long forgotten, but fulfilled, it must!
ESU LAUGHS AS HE BOWS AWKWARDLY.
Your royal ‘love-ness’ … Oloruntoba and Erelu
My festival…Olodumare, God of creation, demands.
OLORUNTOAB/ERELU
That we know.
ESU
Very good! My sacrificial lamb,
Okwuchukwu must be!
OLORUNTOBA/ERELU
(WITH A GREAT SHOCK)
What…?
Okwuchukwu screams wildly as she angrily strikes her Tin Drum releasing a
volley of fire, thunder and brimstone against Esu and his Acolytes.
10. Oloruntoba and Erelu quickly dive and stop her with a thunderous scream,
while Esu and his entourage equally scream and fall about violently in great
pains. Suddenly others freeze with confusion and fright as Esu boils with
deep anger.
ESU
(TREMBLING VIOLENTLY)
Your grave, little brat, I go to prepare…!
He storms out with his Acolytes moaning and groaning in pains.
