Mick Foy
MHRA
Mick Foy is the Group Manager of the Vigilance Intelligence and Research Group of the MHRA. Mick has
been with the MHRA for 25 years and has worked in most areas of medicines regulation during that time,
for the bulk of his career he has worked mainly in Pharmacovigilance and has also managed the General
Practice Research Database (GPRD). Mick leads the Better Regulation Of Medicines Initiative (BROMI)
pharmacovigilance sub‐group to identify better ways of working. Mick’s main role is the running of the
Yellow Card Scheme and ADR reporting system, development of the Agency’s Pharmacovigilance systems,
PSURs, safety variations, renewals and the MHRA’s pharmacoepidemiology function. It is Mick’s team that
deliver the UK’s drug signal management programmes.

Graeme Ladds,
PharSafer Associates, Ltd
Graeme Ladds is the CEO of PharSafer® and has over 20 years experience in the Pharma Industry and
whose last position in industry before forming PharSafer® was as Head of Global Drug Safety for a multi‐
national Pharma Company and as EU Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (EU QP PV).
Graeme has worked as both a Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information Manager previously and over
the many years of working in the field of Safety and Medical Services has written a modular book on Multi‐
National Pharmacovigilance (2006, 2010); written many articles on Pharmacovigilance in peer reviewed
journals; currently serves as editor on a multi‐national Pharmacovigilance Journal; is a regular speaker at
conferences; and active member of many international associations which include the DIA (and active
member of SIAC); TOPRA; and ISOP.
In 2005 Graeme also designed with a global safety database provider, a validated global medical
information database that links directly to the safety database providing seamless transfer of ADRs as well
as providing a multi‐functional medical services database.
Graeme’s role within PharSafer® is operational and will continue to be very much as part of the day to day
running of the Company with extensive client contact and with overall organizational control.
PharSafer® and Graeme Ladds have appeared in the Annual Who’s Who list of innovative Companies and
Directors since 2007.
