Graduate of General Assembly UX Design Immersive Course
Vernon aspires to be a great UX designer with an intent towards shaping a better future and making lives easier. As a
newly minted UX designerfrom the General Assembly UX Design Immersive (UXDI) course, Vernon is driven by his
passion to make a difference in his discipline.
Vernon graduated from the Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Information System. He is a
globetrotter with diverse experience on the business side of things.Prior to specialising in UX, he has worked in
Construction, Sales and Marketing, Business Development, Account Management and Supply Chains in countries such
as Singapore, the Netherlands and Australia.
Last year, Vernon left his role as a Security Sales Manager and found himself back home in Singapore to pursue
opportunities here. He was encouraged by his brother, a senior UX designerat FoxSports, to specialise in the discipline.
Therefore Vernon enrolled in GA’s UXDI course and found himself thoroughly enjoying every step of the UX process -
from research to insight to ideation and prototyping. Street-smart and well-liked, he was one of the most popular
students in his class.
Vernon is now a UX/UI Designer at Decision Science Agency.He is also developing an app, SkillBuddy, with his
brother. SkillBuddy is designed to help youths discovertheir talent and passions by encouraging them to pick up new
skills through their peers.
