Toyota is always looking for the newest technology. This time around, they've set a deal with BMW to grow the technology around hydrogen fuel cells. The first hydrogen-powered Toyota is set to go on sale in 2015! In the meantime, you can always check out a Toyota Prius in N Charlotte!

1. Toyota strikes deal with BMW for
hydrogen fuel cell technology!
Toyota and BMW have been in talks over the technology behind a hydrogen fuel cell. While the deal has
not yet been finalized, there are reports the finalization will come sometime this week. The deal that’s
sitting on the table will give BMW licenses to Toyota hydrogen fuel cell technology. While Toyota and
BMW may not be the first two automakers you’d think had a business bond, it’s not the first time they’ve
come together to discuss a deal. They’ve signed before on lithium ion battery technology as well as diesel
fuel technology.
Toyota of N Charlotte just recently reported Toyota is looking to put a hydrogen fuel cell powered car on
the market in 2015. The proposed model is the FCV-R and was a concept car released not too long ago.
It’s just been made public; it will be the new basis for a hydrogen-powered car that’s available to
consumers for purchase.
The Toyota FCV-R is the hydrogen car of 2015!

2. We don’t necessarily think this is practical for our N Charlotte Toyota drivers, but in Australia there are
already hydrogen cars on the market. It’s not so far-fetched in other countries where hydrogen fueling
stations are already available. The more realistically-priced green option is currently sitting on our lot!
