How do I sell stuff?!




    It's surprisingly easy!!

       1. LIST your item!
         (click "Sell an Item").!
             2. SCHEDULE your item

                (choose an auction).!

                 3. SELL your item!
                    When your item is up for auction,!
                    you can chat from the front of the room.!

How do I LIST an item?!




    It's quite simple!!

    1. Describe your item.!
    2. Upload photos.!
    3. Set the minimum bid price & shipping options. !
!
    Remember that Tophatter auctions have no reserve !
    prices & all bids are real, so choose a minimum bid !
    that you are comfortable selling the item for.!
How do I SCHEDULE an item?!



    After you list, choose an auction to schedule into.!
!
  We run Tophatter-hosted Featured auctions every
day in a variety of categories.!
  Featured auctions appear on the main homepage!
  and attract the most users. !
!
  If an auction is full for scheduling in advance, you can!
  still add your item during the live auction. In some!
  auctions, you can choose to put your item in 'standby',!
  and it will only be auctioned off if a buyer places a bid.!
Are there limits to how many
                       items are in an auction?!


                                             That's a really good question!!

    We balance the number of items with the !
    number of bidders in our featured auctions.!
!
    This means that some auctions fill up and sellers !
    cannot always sell as many items as they like, !
    but items get better exposure to buyers.!

Ok, so how do I!
       start selling?!




    First, you must have a verified PayPal   account!
    so that you can receive payment from your buyers.!
!
    After each sale that you make, the buyer will pay !
    directly to your PayPal account & then you will !
    ship the item.!
!
    After the sale is done, both sides can give feedback to !
    each other.!
Is that it?!




    You'll also want to set up your seller profile, so that buyers !
    can learn about you, your products and your policies.!
!
    In your seller profile, you can link to:!
         •  Any shop you have on the web!
         •  Your Facebook, Twitter, & Pinterest pages!
         •  Your contact email!
!
    Many sellers use Tophatter to gain exposure, grow their !
    audience, & sell items outside of our auctions. That’s just!
    fine with us!!
How does Tophatter make money?!




    Tophatter charges the seller a commission on the winning bid !
    (ranging from 5%-13%) and a scheduling fee (ranging from!
    FREE-$2.75) to add your item into an auction.!

    Fees are highest in our Featured auctions & lowest in Community!
    auctions, reflecting the level of demand.!
!
    There is no cost to set up a Seller Profile or list items on Tophatter.!
!
    When you schedule into an auction, you will see the exact fees that apply !
    before opting in.!
Can I organize my own auction?!




    Yes! If you want to sell more items, you can host !
    your own COMMUNITY auction.!

 The host of a Community auction selects the items to !
 be listed & is responsible for advertising the event. !

You can set up and run as many community auctions !
 as you like, and can invite other sellers to join you.!
What if I need help?!
